Postage & Frequently Asked Questions

How do I order?

Simply select the number of units you require and click the add to cart button. The postage price will automatically be calculated at checkout based on the quantity you order.

Fabric is priced per panel or per 25cm. If you order 1 unit (25cm) it will be cut as a Fat Quarter* by default (50cm x 55cm). If you require 25cm cut across the width of fabric, please leave a comment at checkout. If you order multiple units of fabric, it will be cut as one piece.

*This does not apply to Wideback fabrics. If you order 1 unit of any wideback fabric, it will be cut as a 25cm x 274cm strip.

What is the minimum amount of fabric I can order?

The minimum quantity of fabric is 1 unit or 25cm. This will be cut as a Fat Quarter (50cm x 55cm) unless you leave a note at checkout requesting a 25cm strip.

Wideback fabric (approx. 274cm) is not available cut as a Fat Quarter. If you only order 1 unit, you will receive 25cm x 274cm.

Panels are sold as complete panels only.

What type of fabrics do you stock?

Eclectic Mumma stocks quilting cotton and linen/cotton blends that are modern and/or fun.

Do you stock other products or is it only fabric?

I also sell patterns, rulers and other craft items. Fabric is the first thing I have stocked my store with but I will be adding more products as time goes on. I plan on selling quilt kits as well as fabric bundles. If there is something you would like that is not listed, please contact me.

Picking fabric online is hard, Can you help me?

Picking fabric for a new project can be hard at the best of times. If you are having trouble, contact me with some details and I will curate a selection for you. I will then photograph everything together so you can see exactly how it looks. I want to make this as easy as possible for you.

As time goes on, I will be adding bundles and kits to the store which make choosing easier. Choosing fabrics from the same range can also make fabric selection easier.

Do you have a store I can visit?

Eclectic Mumma is an online store and is not currently set up for visitors. If this changes I will be advising VIP Club members first and it will be announced on my social channels. Be sure to follow me or subscribe to stay up to date with the latest news.

What payment methods do you accept?

Payment is available through Paypal using your credit or debit card even if you don't have a Paypal account. I also offer Afterpay. If you prefer you can pay by direct bank deposit.

Do you have lay-by?

Lay-by is not something I currently offer however I do offer Afterpay.

Postage

All orders are shipped with Australia Post using Parcel Post by default unless Express Post is selected at checkout. Both of these options offer tracking for peace of mind for both you and me. I try and keep postage costs as low as possible and only charge you the prices set by Australia Post.

All orders are shipped within 3 business days of payment. In the case of direct deposit by bank transfer, this means when the payment appears as complete in my account.

Can I pick up my order to save on postage?

Certainly can! Pick up is available from Oakleigh South Victoria (3167) at an agreed time. When you checkout, an option should appear for local pick up assuming you have a metropolitan Melbourne postcode. Make sure to select local pick up and I will contact you once your order is ready to arrange a collection time. If you want the option to appear when you check postage in your cart, be sure to select your state before entering your postcode. If you do not see the local pick up option, please contact me via the contact page.

Do you post internationally?

At this stage I am only offering shipping within Australia. I am aware that some of you are international friends. If you are super keen to have some fabric shipped to you internationally, please contact me via the contact page and I can arrange a quote for you subject to your location.

What is a Fat Quarter?

A Fat Quarter is 25cm of fabric cut as a square instead of a strip across the full width of the fabric. Basically it's half a metre cut from the bolt and then that half meter gets cut in half leaving two fat quarters. It is far more versatile than a 25cm strip of fabric unless of course you need a strip for your quilt or project.

What can I use quilting fabric for? I'm not a quilter!

Quilting fabric is a medium weight woven fabric which is usually 100% cotton but is also available as a linen/cotton blend. These fabrics are suitable for a range of projects including homewares (cushions, table runners, napkins etc), bags, softies, dolls, clothing, craft projects and of course quilt making. Let your imagination run free! These high quality fabrics can be used for just about any handmade item.
